ABOUT QUINTA DA LUZ BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Welcome to the very south of Portugal. The Algarve is for sure one of the greatest regions in Europe. It benefits from more than 300 days of sunshine, temperatures are pleasant all year and there is just so much to explore!
We are Kristin and Tobias and immediately fell in love when we found this beautiful place. Some years before we had discovered the Algarve and kept coming back every year. We love the beautiful nature, the beaches, the picturesque villages and - very important: the friendly Portuguese people. We immediately felt welcome here.
Tobias has worked in the financial and real estate sector before whereas Kristin worked as a Public Relations manager. We decided to start this new exciting project, because we wanted to live another lifestyle with more time for ourselves, more time outside and a business that we are entirely responsible for. In our leisure time, we like to bike, go to the beach, Tobias plays golf and Kristin likes running or to relax: read a good book.
Quinta da Luz - Boutique bed & Breakfast has for long time been a rural farmhouse, typical for this area of the Algarve. In 2005 it was transformed into a Bed & Breakfast, preserving its rustique and charming atmosphere. After it was bought by us, it underwent some further subtle changes, linking the old with the modern.

THE PERFECT HIDEAWAY IN THE ALGARVE
Today you will find cozy rooms in the Boutique Bed & Breakfast just like in a beautiful Boutique hotel, each with its own character, tastefully and contemporary styled with a touch of luxury. The old building makes you immediately feel at home with its thick walls, high wooden ceilings and surrounded by a beautiful garden with old olive and fruit trees, colourful flowers and thousands of orange trees on a size of more than 60,000 squaremeters.
Not to forget: We have a driving range on our premises which can be used by our guests.
Quinta da Luz Boutique B&B is situated perfectly in the central Algarve, you are close both to the coast and the mountains as well as to all other places in the Algarve. Please note that we are an adults only hotel. Guests 16 years and older are welcome.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Quinta da Luz is an adults only boutique hotel. Our aim is to offer our guests carefree holidays in a laid-back atmosphere in the sunny Algarve. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning with most products coming from the region or even from our garden. Spend the day hiking or biking in the surrounding hills, playing at one of the many golfcourses close by, exploring the coast and beaches or the beautiful towns in the Algarve. Or simply enjoy a relaxing day at Quinta da Luz with a good book by the pool, a snack freshly prepared for you and a glass of champagne to celebrate the sunset.

To let you fully enjoy your holidays, let us do all the bookings for teetimes, activities and restaurants - we are always happy to help and to give any recommendations. SUSTAINABILITY
Quinta da Luz tries to be a sustainable B&B, we have a photovoltaic system with battery storage installed so most of our energy consumption comes from the sun, we buy local where we can, grow some fruits and vegetables in our own garden, offer homemade jams and bread, eggs come from our own chickens.
We save water and avoid as much plastics as possible and we recycle all our waste. We use a premium water filter for the water that we use for cooking and serve to drink for breakfast. Like this we can use tap water with a perfect taste that saves many plastic bottles.
