Hospitality Assistant (Housekeeping & Guest Support)
Start: March 2026 · 30h/week · Silves, Algarve

Quinta da Luz is a small, high-quality boutique hotel located near Silves. With eight individually designed rooms and a calm, welcoming atmosphere, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Hospitality Assistant to join our team for the upcoming season, with the possibility of a long-term, full-year contract.

About the Role:
As a Hospitality Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of our boutique hotel. The position combines housekeeping duties with general maintenance tasks, guest interaction and light food preparation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and appreciates working in a small, friendly team.
You will work a 5-day week with two consecutive days off — a significant benefit in the hospitality sector. Days off rotate, but always come in a pair.
Seasonal work pattern:
During the summer months, when the hotel is busy, the workload may increase to around 40 hours per week. These additional hours are compensated during the quieter winter months, ensuring an annual average of 30 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:
Housekeeping

Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard

Laundry support and organization of housekeeping supplies
Outdoor Upkeep

Ensuring cleanliness and order in outdoor areas such as terraces, garden and pool surroundings

Assisting with small practical tasks that help maintain the hotel’s pleasant appearance
Guest Support

Welcoming guests and handling check-ins in a friendly and professional manner

Providing assistance to guests when needed and communicating clearly with the team
Food Preparation

Preparing simple lunches for guests

Following established procedures; full training will be provided
General Assistance

Supporting the daily operations by noticing what needs to be done and acting proactively

Light administrative or organisational tasks when required
Requirements:

Experience in housekeeping or similar hospitality roles

Good communication skills in English and Portuguese

Another language (e.g., German or French) is an advantage

Practical mindset, reliability and strong attention to detail

Ability to work both independently and within a small team

Driver’s licence and own car (hotel is located outside central Silves)

Availability to work weekends and holidays (days off rotate)

Interest in long-term collaboration

Open to either employment contract or self-employed cooperation
